I’m an overseas student from Guangzhou, Guangdong in China. What I like about living in Nara is the seasons. I enjoy the climatic variety they offer. Guangzhou where I come from is much further south than Japan. Its climate is somewhat similar to that of Okinawa. We don’t have autumn foliage, winter snow, nor spring cherry blossoms in my hometown. Because I am from Guangzhou, I am sometimes asked if I can cope with the cold. Living together with nature provides us with a wonderful natural realization of it, so I soon got used to the cold.
