Influenza

Influenza has similar symptoms to a cold, but is characteristic in that it has a sudden high temperature (over 38 degrees) and headache.

Other symptoms are a chill, weariness, joint pain, sore throat and a cough, etc.

ĦTo prevent catching influenza

- Avoid crowded places

- After your return home from outdoors, be sure to gargle and wash your hands, and also before meals.

- Keep your body in good condition on an everyday basis. (balanced nutritious meals, sufficient sleep, and a healthy regular lifestyle)

- Use a humidifier to keep the room at a suitable humidity level. (viruses thrive in dry conditions)

- Get vaccinated (influenza vaccination) as early as possible.

ĦTo prevent spreading influenza

- When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, etc., face away from another person, and keep a distance of 1~2 meters.If you donft have a tissue, cover your mouth to reduce the spread of particles as much as possible.

- Throw used tissues into a trash bin immediately.

- If you use your hand or arm to cove a cough or sneeze, wash it immediately afterwards.

- If you have coughing or sneezing symptoms, wear a mask.

- Recommend a person who is coughing or sneezing to wear a mask.
